(Written by Roy Williamson of "The Corries")
O Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now,
And Autumn leaves
lie thick and still,
O'er land that is lost now,
Which those so dearly held,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
Those days are past now,
And in the past
they must remain,
But we can still rise now,
And be the nation again,
That stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.
0 Flower of Scotland,
When will we see
your like again,
That fought and died for,
Your wee bit Hill and Glen,
And stood against him,
Proud Edward's Army,
And sent him homeward,
Tae think again.

There are two railway lines, the East Coast Main Line (from Kings X) and the
West Coast Main Line (from Euston).
You Scotch gits can board a train there and go back on a trip to Scotland,
and don't come back.
We then set up full immigration and border controls and require them to
apply for Viasa to enter the remaining part of the UK.
And naturally we repatriate all the Scots now living south of the border.
Then in fairness we allow Scotlands application for memn bership of the EU
to proceed over the same sort of time period we have watched Turkey , Greece
and Serbia for, at least 50 years.
I mean be fair just look at how well the scots governed themselves for the
1000 years prior to the union

Scots are floundering in a sea of debt far deeper than the rest of the
UK, according to dire new warnings yesterday.
The average Scot owes £7,848 in unsecured loans - a third more than
the UK average
Two reports yesterday highlighted the scale of the problem and the SNP
said the nation was the most indebted in the UK.
The Nationalists want the Scottish Parliament to take over control of
consumer debt from Westminster, enabling Holyrood to set limits on the
interest rates that are charged on credit cards and store cards.
Scotland's debt average of almost £8,000 for unsecured loans - much of
it credit and store cards - is well ahead of the UK's average of
£5,993.
Meanwhile, yesterday another study suggested Scots are also the least
likely to consider seeking professional help to tackle their
overspending.

The word is 'scottish', but for an Engerlishman you did pretty well.
Just give thanks to the Scots that they have condescended to run your
country and all its institutions for you. I'm sure it's not your fault

God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us;
God save the Queen!
2. O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies
And make them fall;
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all!
3. Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign;
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen! 4. Not in this land alone,
But be God's mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world over.
5. From every latent foe,
From the assassins blow,
God save the Queen!
O'er her thine arm extend,
For Britain's sake defend,
Our mother, prince, and friend,
God save the Queen!

May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.

Rebellious Scots to crush.

Guffaw - coming from the land of the weekend lager lout that's quite
funny - even by your standards.
In what way do you reckon that Scottish social development was at
least 100 years behind the rest of Europe, wee Greg?
Euston Station, platform 7.
I'm sure Mr Gui is as Engerlish as Rabbie Henderson.
The simple fact the Scots GDP exceeds that of England by a considerable
margin goes right over their little pointy heads.
As does the simple fact that all North Sea revenues are from Scottish waters
but are credited to the Continental Shelf rather than to Scotland.
Then their comprehension skills also preclude them from calculating the
portion of taxes earned by UK wide companies from Scotland that is paid at
head offices in London and are in fact also Scottish assets.
It never enters these ill educated English ruffians minds that the Barnett
Formula's sole raison d'être is to pay back to Scotland that portion of
England's UK funding that England has already spent.
In short they are so badly educated they are unable to understand the truth
of the matter is that Scotland has subsidised England for just under 300
years, (and I don't expect that the significance of that date means anything
to them either). Their geographic skills are no better than their historical
skills.
Let us set them a small test -
a),What is, "Guano"?
b), What is the name of the smallest sub-atomic particle?
c), What is the purpose of a, "Diuretic"?
d), Why are toilet seats hinged?
Let's see how they do with those questions.
BTW: Did it ever get to England?
Perhaps the relevance of Burke & Hair is beyond his/her ken?
Perhaps the Education Act of 1496 is also above his/her head?
Perhaps, also, geology and Arthur's Seat don't add up to anything in his/her
little head?
Perhaps the Napier and logarithms mean nothing to her/him? (ad infinitem).

Well, I can't recall seeing the words "Enlightenment" and "England" in
the same sentence before.
'We look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilisation." Voltaire.
I wonder if wee Greg is aware that at the time Scotland was 100 years
behind Europe, Scotland with its far smaller population had 4
universities and England had 2. Scotland was the first country in the
world to introduce compulsory education which, judging by Greg's
efforts at the English language, still hasn't been introduced in
England.
'We look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilisation."
Voltaire
Not only that, Paul, but the muppet has listed a raft
of sciences and industries that were set up by Scots in the
first place.
I mean, jeez, but all credit to the English for a raft
of cultural, scientific and democratic progress, but you'd
think they'd have enough decent education that they would know
better than to carp about areas of Scots advancement in a post
that purports to criticise Scots.
Maybe Hattie has learned how to set up sock puppets.

Nah, we had a home victory at Murrayfield recently. 25th February.
Margaret Tudor, sister of Henry VIII married the King of *cotland
and James I
married a Danish Princess. George I was the great grandson of James
I.
which is the reason he become The King of The United Kingdom.
Heck even the Roman Empire

The Wall should have been 30ft higher. Any chance of it being
rebuilt
to *those* specifications today? It certainly would have kept the
idiot
Blair out and would have saved the lives of many British soldiers.
According to glug, the "english" (he obviously is unfamiliar with
English
syntax, otherwise he would know that proper nouns require a Capital
first letter),
"hate the Germans". He then insists that The Queen is German
because
of her descendency from George I. He obviously then believes that
the English
people hate themselves, since they are descended from the Saxons of
Germany.
So much for *cottish education.
I'll find it and let you know.

support British
sports teams, not those of a foreign nation. The Germans are not a

Let's see if I can make it simple for you.
1) The English people hate the Germans.
2) The Queen is German.
England is named for the Anglos who came from Germany, ergo the
English
*are* German and therefore apparently hate themselves according to
you.
George I was a Saxe Coburg but he was also a Stuart, *that's* how he
became King of The United Kingdom. Birthplaces count for nothing in
Royalty, it is only bloodlines that count. Prince Philip was born in
Greece,
but doesn't have a drop of Greek blood in him. He is the great, great
grandson
of Queen Victoria as is The Queen.
Interesting. When did she have the operation?
The Queen is somebody's grandson?

The team isn't playing under the banner of Gt. Britain. They are an

What "country" are you referring to?

Yes. Because we are citizens of the same nation, I supported the *cot
curling
team in The Olympics. My only "bigotry" against the *cots is the
moronic,
treacherous nitnats who would break up The Kingdom simply because of
their
inferiority complex and ancient hatreds.
And I assume you've sent a

If he said *that* he was wrong, now tell us *why*he said it?

snip silly sig, waste of space.
Britain is not a country. It may be a state but country it is not.
It is a political union, or state, composed of four countries.

Robert Peffers,

Fife,
Scotland, (UK).
(When replying take pam away from peffers.
Scotland).
What utter rot.
The conflict that anthem was written for was nothing to do with a Scottish
vs English conflict.
It was a war between two claimants for the crown. Not for the ENGLISH CROWN,
not for the SCOTTISH CROWN but for the UNITED KINGDOM crown.
What is more the one wearing the crown was a German and actually 25th in
line to that crown while BPC's claim was very much closer.than his.
The simple fact was BPC had the best claim and if it was not for him being A
Catholic he would have been the King of the UK.
As it was the one wearing the UNITED KINGDOM crown was a German and the
Royal family to this day are a German family. Just remember Kaiser Bill was
the British King's first cousin.
Whatever else it was it was certainly NOT a Scottish/English affair.

Just to stop your very large jump to conclusions, what was being said was
that a certain poster does nor regard any coloured person as being English.
As you will observe Dame Kelly was English born and had an English mother
and a Jamaican father so as far as that certain person is concerned she is
not English.
Whatever gave you the idea someone thought her Scottish?
It was a foregone conclusion. The English made the fatal mistake of having
an Englishman manage their team. Not much changes.

What? But, but, but this is a Golden Age! Surely you jest?
