URI paths in errorlist

Suppose this output in output pane, generated from a tool on certain file:

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/klo/My%20Documents/XML/svg11/svg-style.mod:75: validity warning : Attribute space of element style: already defined
========================================

If I double click on highlighter URI path I get directed in current file, suggesting that path is not understood.
If I remove "file:///" from URI path and replace "%20" with space, then errorlist jump link works as expected

So I would like to request this as feature.
I imagine making URI work shouldn't be too much trouble, maybe as easy as wrapping the string is some function
