Postdoctoral Position in Electrospray Mass Spectrometry for trace
detection of organic materials and inorganic ions on surfaces.
We an seeking an innovative and skilled Ph D mass spectrometrist to
develop methodology for the rapid and trace detection of organic and
inorganic materials on surfaces. The project will involve development
of analytical methods for electrospray mass spectrometry, ion
chromatography and microfluidic systems using time of flight mass
spectrometry, conductometric and fluorescence derivatization
procedures. Analytes will include gunshot residue, and other forensic
analytes. Individual will also supervise graduate and undergraduate
researchers, write reports and present results.
A PhD in analytical chemistry or related fields and relevant
experience is required. US Citizenship is preferred but not
required.
