If the same p-value of 2.3e-9 is given for different values
of the statistic, my first guess would be that the author
(or his p-value routine) decided to stick in that minimum
value.
But if you are getting that for when the null is true, then
either you have put in your data wrong or maybe your
version of the program is corrupted. - It is conceivable
that a bad version of an R program could be offered for
downloading for a short period, but I would expect that
to be fixed quickly. So a new download might work,
whether your version was corrupt originally or not until
later.
