Books for intermediate to advanced stats for psychology

Hello folks. For the (so-called) advanced psychology stats course I
teach, I have been recommending Dave Howell's book "Statistical
Methods for Psychology". I still like Howell's book, but the price is
a bit higher than I would like (about $150 Canadian for the newest
edition). So I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend an
alternative that is a bit cheaper (under $100 would be nice).

Here's one possibility I came across on Amazon, but I'm not familiar
with it, so any comments on it would also be appreciated.

I'd certainly also be open to any good books that cover both stats &
research methods (e.g., counterbalancing, etc). A book like that
could be used for two courses, which would be another way to reduce
costs for students.

This is in Google Books, which presumably means students could avoid
even buying it at all if they so wished.
