Even alarmist Tim Flannery, confronted on Lateline with the emails of the
global warming conspiracy, concedes holes in the "science is settled"
argument and admits to what he didn't before:

"We're dealing with an incomplete understanding of the way the earth system
works. When we come to the last few years when we haven't seen a
continuation of that (warming) trend we don't understand all of the factors
that create earth's climate...We just don't understand the way the whole
system works. See, these people work with models, computer modelling. So
when the computer modelling and the real world data disagree you've got a
very interesting problem. Sure for the last 10 years we've gone through a
slight cooling trend. "

And on these now-admitted uncertainties we must scrap all coal-fired
generators, impose massive new taxes, shut entire industries, hand billions
to the UN and change the way we live?

Incidentally, note that journalists absolutely refused to hear exactly this
from me on Insiders.

Even Lateline host Tony Jones will now hear from Flannery what he wouldn't
just days earlier from sceptic Tony Abbott,

"It is a remarkable fact that despite the worldwide expenditure of perhaps
US$50 billion since 1990, and the efforts of tens of thousands of scientists
worldwide, no human climate signal has yet been detected that is distinct
from natural variation."

Carbon capture and storage will be used in coal power stations, the
ETS causes investment that mitigates against the risk of damage, and
socialises damage to the community rather than leaving coal companies
exposed to litigation for damages caused by the sale of there product
[whether or not you agree with the evidence a court of law would
decide on the balance of probabilties], create a capacity for the
world to solve problems together and clearly we are in great need of
that with the looming population explosion, and re-emphasise the value
of our natural environment to our lives and our economy.

Does that make Tim Flannery a liar? Re-read that quote. Heck, I'll
repost it:

"Were dealing with an incomplete understanding of the way the earth

system works When we come to the last few years when we havent seen

a continuation of that (warming) trend we dont understand all of the
factors that create earths climate...We just dont understand the way

the whole system works See, these people work with models, computer

modelling. So when the computer modelling and the real world data

disagree youve got a very interesting problem Sure for the last 10

years weve gone through a slight cooling trend."

I mean, wow.

1. He admits that there's quite a bit they don't know.
2. He admits that the real-world data disagrees with the models.
3. He admits that in the last 10 years, we've seen slight cooling.

All those claims are generally made by AGW skeptics. For that, we are
labeled by some here as "liars" and "denialists". Here's the freaking
Chairman of the Copenhagen Council admitting these things.

So........is Tim Flannery now a "denialist liar"? What's the argument
now?
======================================

So, let's get this straight,
"they don't know",
"real-world data disagrees with the models", and,
"the last 10 years, we've seen slight cooling".

So why are politicians spending TRILLIONS when this scam is obviously so
uncertain?????
Sounds like collective insanity to me.

Not insanity at all.
An extremely clever and effective method of extracting trillions of
dollars from people all over the world and redistributing it to fund a
new economy which wont work without truckloads of subsidies
and to hand over equally trillions to so called developing countries
who are owed the money via "climate debt."
Actually proving whether AGW is real , imaginary or who knows what
will take decades, and in the meantime people will be paying thru the
nose.
Even, eventually , if its all a total hoax, no one will get their
money back, and the Govts and pollies who dreamed the whole thing up
will be well and truly gone.
Its a win, win for everyone who counts, and a lose lose for people who
arnt game enought to ask the right questions or who dont understand
the issues.
Normally, people hate paying new taxes, and political parties who
introduce them fare badly at the ballot box.
But , as the ETS doesnt have the word tax in it , its a winner all
round.
