The project requires synthesis and characterization of aromatic
polymers functionalized with sulfonate groups. We are trying to
explore these polymers for potential applications in fuel cell
membrane materials. This membrane project also involves collaborations
with top fuel cell research groups at US.
Strong skills and experience in polymer synthesis and membrane
characterization with microscopic techniques (AFM or TEM) are highly
desired. Experience in organic chemistry is plus.

No specification of (doctoral) degree level? Or is this really a
technician job?
Fuel cell research in the US is likely to be in a department or an
incubator lab and as soon as feasibility is demonstrated and patent
applied for, its going to be shipped out to China.
