I checked out EndNote, but wasn't crazy about it. I'd like something
that would allow me to both record the references as well as write in it.
What's works best for you?

OpenOffice.org is a rather nice office suite that hopefully in a year
or two will have a decent bibliographic component as well but at the
moment the Bibliographic component is not good enough for real work.
