AWARDS TO AMERICAN POST-DOCTORAL SCHOLARS

The United States-Israel Educational Foundation (USIEF) will offer
in 1992 a number of of 10 to 21 month awards to post-doctoral scholars.

Benefits: The total amount of a 10 month grant varies from $18,750
to $34,150, depending on the number of accompanying dependents. The
total amount of a 21 month grant varies from $37,500 to
$68,300 depending on the number of dependents. The award covers
allowances for maintenance, settling-in, housing, incidental expenses
and travel for the grantee. Grants for those receiving an extension
for 21 months will include an extra round trip ticket to the U.S.
for the purpose of seeking employment.

Applications are limited to scholars who will be affiliated with
Ben Gurion University of the Negev, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem,
the Technion, Tel Aviv University, and the Weizmann Institute of Science.
These institutions have agreed to contribute to USIEF 20% of the cost of
the grant.

Preference will be given to scholars up to the age of 35, who have not
previously studied or done research in Israel and to those who have
completed their doctorate within the previous two years. Continuation
of the award beyond the first 10 month period will be dependent on
evidence of satisfactory progress.

Applications for awards should be made in the U.S. to local university
campus Fulbright program advisors or to the Institute of International
Education, 809 United Nations Plaza, New York, N.Y. 10017-3580 before
November 1st of the year preceding the grant period.

CHAIR: Georgia College is seeking a chairperson for the Department of
Psychology. The area of specialization is open; the salary and rank will be
commensurate with qualifications. Minimal qualifications: a Ph.D. in
psychology, eligibility for rank of Associate or Full Professor, evidence of a
commitment to the effective teaching of psychology, and a demonstrated
commitment to scholarly endeavors. Desirable experience: Departmental

one-third time release from teaching duties for administrative
responsibilities. In addition to significant teaching and administrative

The Department of Psychology at Memphis State University invites
applications for three tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant
professor level. For each position, we are seeking an active scholar
who shows promise of developing a nationally recognized program of
research. Contingent on final budgetary approval, appointments will be
made in the following areas: (1) SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY: Specific research
and teaching specialization within social psychology is open. (2)
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY: Area of specialization within clinical psychology
is open. However, current specialization of our clinical faculty are in
the areas of behavioral medicine, child-clinical, neuropsychology,
psychotherapy research, and research design and statistics. (3) The
third appointment will be in one of the following areas: BIOPSYCHOLOGY,
