Slightly more complicated than this. Manufacturer of food container is
responsible for passing FDA specified extraction tests. Probably no spec for
acetaldehyde as FDA specs are normally in mg/sq inch. Acetaldehyde content of
PET article depends on heating history of resin. Also, don't forget
acetaldehyde is component of food such as grapes an apples. Far more than you
would get from a PET bottle.
