It's an old, wery well-known, well established and low tactic to try
to belittle, humiliate, to spurn, to mock and/or to degrade others by
accusing them of being someone else, for example a well known crank
like Raemsch.

What, alt.atheism again? This must be another one of those
messages crossposted to sci.math -- many posts involving
Virgil seem to be crossposted.

Of those names, I've only recall seeing one of them here at
sci.math -- Mitchell Raemsch.

But I'm skeptical that MR and Virgil are the same poster,
since they are on opposite sides of the math debates. Indeed,
Virgil is an ardent defender of ZFC and standard theories,
while MR posts alternate theories, most notably his theory of
adjacent infinitesimals. So I'd be very surprised to find out
that MR is actually Virgil.

Now that I definitely believe. Virgil and SPQR definitely
write in identical styles, most notably in the WM threads
where they call WM a "matheologist."

So,
Virgil=SPQR? Definitely!
Virgil=MR? Need more evidence.
