I notice that the lunatic fringe on sci.physics seems to be celebrating
the Bush-Israel withdrawal from Lebanon. The lunatic fringe consists
of (1) neo-Nazi-related or neo-Nazi-sympathizing posters and (2) an
assortment of loonies (usually with invalid.com or nospam.com internet
addresses) who specialize in attacking my papers with comments ranging
from profanity to the rather carefully but negatively studied
Moveon.Org type claim that not making the dimensions of constants
explicit in equations (for brevity in analyzing other things) proves
stupidity.
Speaking of stupidity, Bush and Israel's Olmert initiated the latest
round of stupidity by withdrawing from Lebanon, perhaps in order to
"round out" Bush Senior's failure to finish off Saddam and Bush
Junior's failure to simultaneously knock out Iran, Syria, and Iraq (and
arguably Saudi Arabia and at least western Pakistan near the Afghan
border) instead of just invading Iraq and Afghanistan. There's little
doubt that Bush and Olmert have a "control" problem psychologically,
which usually characterizes panic attacks, although my guess is that
they've overdosed on Viagra-type drugs to the extent of being mentally
and physically exhausted and strategy-deprived. Lest Dumbocrats take
heart, I hasten to add that if Nancy Pelosi (who wants to have
government control of the internet but not government control of
Terrorists) or Kerry or Clinton or Carter or Gore had been in charge,
we'd all be speaking only three languages today: Arabic, Russian, and
Chinese. Of course, for the Third World
