The 'Great Attractor' is some kind of monster
freakish thing thats attracting everything
to the odd point of exactly the plane of the
galaxy in the exact opposite side to center of the galaxy.
What an exact geometric coincidence eh?
Its crap and utter nonsense.
Its reeks just like old theories that put
Earth at the geometric center of the universe
based on limited observational data!
It must be caused by a local phenomena that shifts
red shifts more and more as the angle of light
deviates more to the exact opposite side of our galaxy
giving the impression everything has an additional proper motion
towards that direction.
'Dark matter' is one possibility.
Implications are terrible.
Red shifts alone are not reliable indicators of distance.
