I see that there is still no consensus on what relativistic wave
functions for electrons/positrons should look like (see the discussion
on matrix rep of Lorentz transformation in Dirac spinor space).
What about photons? Can we just use the classical vector potential
(normalize it if you want) as an approximation for a MULTI photon
wave function? This might be a completely ridiculous suggestion
except for the Jones vector formalism, which treats electric or
magnetic fields as quantum states.
