Hello, can anyone point to preprints on compactification of M-theory
down to 9 dimensions, via the sphere S2?
down to 9 dimensions, via the sphere S2?
I am curious about:
- how should this compactification be different of a compactification
first in S1/Z2 and then in S1?
- is it the same that heterotic compactification in a circle S1?
- would a Kaluza Klein SU(2) group appear in this compactification of
M-theory? And in the heterotic compactification in the circle?
- which is the status of chirality? Does S1/Z2 produce a chiral theory
and then the new compatification purges it? Forcefully?
