I have a coaxial dielectric barrier discharge cell operating in air at
atmospheric pressure.

The construction (from the inside, out):
Inner electrode: Stainless steel, 19 mm diameter
Inner air gap: 1 mm width
Dielectric: Borosilicate glass, 1 mm width
Outer air gap: 1 mm width
Outer electrode: Stainless steel, 25 mm diameter

Cell length: 10 cm

When I apply pulsed AC to the cell I see 100-500 mA (12 ns) current spikes
with cell voltages of 600-800 volts.

Is 800 V a reasonable discharge voltage for this cell? Or should I suspect
my test configuration?
