"Plasma Physics via Computer Simulation" by Birdsall and Langdon, 1991.
"Computer Simulation using Particles" by Hockney and Eastwood, 1988.
Unfortunately I don't know to what extent the state-of-art has changed
since those books were written and was wondering if anyone knew of any
others books that cover useful algorithms developed since the above books
were written? Or are do those books still describe state-of-the-art
relatively well?

Looks like a good text - thanks for the recommendation!
