Not at all. As I said in a recent post to sci.physics.foundations, a photon is a
factor in the integral corresponding to a specific squiggly line in the diagram
being computed, in the perturbation approximation to QED.

Photons are ineluctably part of the MODEL, not the world. You are confusing the
relationship of model to world with phenomena in the world. DON'T DO THAT.

The thread in s.p.f has Subject "Re: Photon Energy Density (was
