After discovering the working concept of the explosive flux
compression generator, I naturally wondered if the same concept could
be used for lower energy power pulse generation in a reusable form.
Can the flux compression generator concept work with a simple timing
circuit and set of relays consecutively shorting the coils of a
solenoid to a bus bar? Is there a book or article which goes into
detail about the nuts-and-bolts practical matters of the timing of the
operations of the inputs and output of an explosive flux compression
generator, so that I can adapt the same timing sequence to a much
slower pace in the reusable case?
Once I know more about what is possible, I should be able to figure
out what, if any, applications this would be suitable for.
