Manners can become clichés and invade all communication, it all
becomes boring. New ideas become quite a difficulty to accept.
Manners thus become a fortress that stops all new education. The
European countries for example France and Britain had really accepted
manners to the extremes. Manners when they loose meaning, they become
impersonal. You will see various impersonal architecture, that came
about in the late 19th century and the Victorian industrial age.
Manners' ignorant mode and the impersonal architecture have some
connections. Even when there is manner fashion with one manner
becoming outdated by another for example the sixties removing the
previous norms, if the ignorant mode is still there then new education
ideas get stopped once more. Whose Line Is It Anyway? This could be
the issue when manners become meaningless (not the televised
improvisation comedy show).
