Subject: VFW Lodge Under Siege by Mexican "Brown Berets" in Calif.

Minutemen on the Line Now! James Gilchrist

www.borderwatch.us/camp.htm

Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 2:26 PM Subject: BULLETIN! Reinforcements
needed in Campo, Ca.

Dear Americans,

Reinforcements are needed in Campo, Ca. immediately to support Jim
Chase's California Minutemen, who have deployed for border observation
and reporting activities from July 16 through at least August 7 (and
beyond).

I visited Jim Chase's group, accompanied with a California state
senator and his aides, last Saturday. We witnessed the literal seige
of VFW Post #2080 by about 60 belligerant, death-threatening
anti-Americans twice during that day. The hate-spewing members of the
racist, American-hating organization known as the Mexican brown
berets, stormed the VFW Lodge, damaging signs and other property. They
were eventually repelled by the late-arriving San Diego County
Sheriff's Dept. No arrests were made.

The California state senator and his aides took serious note of the
hostilities and violence conducted by the Nazi-like, anarchist brown
berets. Americans...these goons are incurably evil and have a history
of routinely suppressing the First Amendment rights of Americans
through acts of violence and threats of death.

Our First Amendment rights of freedom to peacefully assemble and speak
are in serious jeopardy, and it is time a stand is taken to preserve
these rights.

The rampage was orchestrated by Armando Navarro, a known anti-American
racist, who holds a comfortable, taxpayer funded, tenured position as
a professor (of hate and blood-letting?) at the University of
California - Riverside, Ca., and who has devoted his life to promoting
the Mexican conquest of the seven southwestern US states. He calls for
the conquest to be carried out by force, if necessary. Navarro, and
his minions whose combined IQ was that of a dead house plant, all
appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

One California Minuteman volunteer, Jim Woods, was physically
assaulted by a gang of ten of Navarro's thugs as he sat in his car
alone at a border outpost. He was physically restrained in his car
seat by the brown berets, who threatened to kill him. They stole his
keys from the ignition and left him stranded without food or water for
several hours. When Jim Woods identified two of the gang members to
the Sheriff's Dept. and asked for an arrest, no action was taken by
the Sheriff's deputies. One deputy just responded to Mr. Wood's plea
for help with "Oh, you just lost your keys," despite repeated pleas to
the contrary from Mr. Woods.

I am returning to Campo this week. Volunteers from anywhere in the
United States are welcome to join me as soon as possible. Two
minuteman groups from Texas have already committed to arrive this
week. I am also requesting reinforcements from Chris Simcox's
Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in Tombstone, Az. and from select
members of another well-known California border watch group that
operates independently from The Minuteman Project.

Navarro's anarchist's attempted to shut down, and trash, the VFW lodge
because the lodge allowed thirsty and hungry California Minutemen
volunteers to purchase food and water from its restaurant. Their
attempts to bring down the U.S. flag were thwarted by Jim Chase's
California Minutemen.

Our goals here are twofold:

1. Protect the rights of ALL Americans to freely and peacefully
assemble without being physically assaulted, or threatened with
violence to maim or kill them by the mindless minions of the Univ. of
California's "Professor of Hate", Armando Navarro.

2. Protect America's war veterans at VFW Lodge 2080, in Campo, Ca.
from being battered by literal thugs with clubs and to protect the
property of that lodge from being destroyed.

3. Simultaneously, volunteers are forming to protest at the Univ. of
Ca. - Riverside, demanding the ouster of Navarro from his department
at a state funded institution, which Navarro has selfishly turned into
a department of tyranny.

Americans, saddle up! Let's Roll! Contact California Minutemen in
Campo, Ca. at 760-272-0525...asap. The VFW lodge address is 301
Sheridan in Campo, Ca.

Ca. Minuteman Web Site: www.californiaminutemen.com

Be warned that the roving gangs of adversaries engaging the California
Minutemen WILL physically attack you if they outnumber you. I repeat,
they WILL physically attack you. Stay in groups, and stay LEGALLY
armed with pepper spray...tasers...etc. Sidearms are legal in certain
areas in Campo. Confer with Jim Chase on the issue of sidearms. I am
remaining unarmed, but will have legally armed body guards with me
while I am in Campo.

Remember, remain passive. However, that does not mean you cannot
defend yourself against threats to your safety by incoherrent mobs of
gangsters who are determined to do you physical harm.

It truly is a sad day in America when the First Amendment rights are
preserved only for those who carry the biggest stick. The alternative
is to remain a cringing little mouse and forever relinquish your
unalienable rights to peacefully speak or assemble.

Good Luck, Americans. May God, patriotism, and country be with you.
See you in Campo.

Jim Gilchrist, Founder - The Minuteman Project - Americans doing the
jobs Congress won't do.

The Minutemen have my full support. I wish that I could travel to California
to support you in person. General U.S. Grant,(U.S. Civil War General and
U.S. President) would see the current immigration crisis as worst than that
that prompted the U.S. Civil War as this immigration crisis is based upon
corruption, surreptitious behavior, and criminal behavior,  and intimidation
at all levels of government and will and has the affect of destroying the
USA and the US Constitution.
A recent poll of the VFW showed that the majority of VFW members view the
Minutemen as Patriot Heros.
The new "Veterans Party", of which I am a member, strongly opposes illegal
immigration.

"So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill will, and a disposition to retaliate in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld . . .

"Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government . . . Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests.

" . . .  nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations and passionate attachments for others should be excluded, and that in place of them just and amicable feelings toward all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest."

Sure would liek to hear more than a one sided report.
I am sure there is a reason no arrests were made.

Good question.  Even more bizarre is why they were not arrested for
assault and kidnapping.

Howzabout we figure out a way to blame Clinton for it, even though we all know
that Dubya's in charge of the politically correct/incorrect department these
days!  Maybe the rubes in the sticks won't notice it.

off, and he threatened to fire into Mexico to 'protect his rights' or
something. He is a retired postal worker, convey any images?

Minutemen threaten to fire into Mexico

These border vigilantes are armed. NBC 7/39 quoted Border Watch leader
James Chase as saying: " 'I'm allowing people even to bring long
rifles, but I want them to keep them in the car-don't be pointing
them, don't be waving them.' said Chase. 'They're there if somebody
with a rifle from a distance in, say, Mexico starts shooting our
people, then we have to suppress that so we can get back further and
get away from them.' "

This is significant. James Chase is prepared to fire into Mexico if he
perceives his so-called Minutemen are under attack even from a
distance. Apparently, fellow border vigilante Andy Ramirez's fears have
been vindicated. Ramirez, of Friends of the Border Patrol, has said and
insisted that Chase wanted to use snipers in some capacity during a
so-called border watch.

Sounds to me like these MinutiaMen wanted a confrontation.  And they
got it.

Don't see any of these online rednecks that keep whining about an armed
revolution heading in to help, do you?  The Mexicans would kick those
redneck's asses.

What a lot of the late arriving me-white guy types miss is that the
Hispanics have been in Southern California since at least 1776, many
have ancestry that greatly precedes that date. Playing boy-soldier and
threatening people with firearms is a handy way to find food and
shelter at the county's expense. If the people who claim they run the
United States wanted to stop the immigrants all it would take would a
few words, and dollars, with the Mexican authorities. They don't want
to lose a source of cheap labor and their source of drugs so the border
is porous.

Very prophetic:

The California MinuteMen started their operations in Campo, California,
one hour east of San Diego on July 16th. They were confronted,
disrupted and chased away by a diverse coalition of organizations from
San Diego, Los Angeles, Mexico, Portland and many other cities. The
Anti-MinuteMen, No Border Camp continues and actions will continue day
and night until the MinuteMen leave Campo. On Sunday night the
corporate media reported that the MinuteMen had given up after only one
day, but later corrected that statement. On Wednesday, the 2nd Virtual
Sit-In against the MinuteMen begins.

The Anti-MinuteMen, No Border camp was set up in the desert scrub of
Campo, just feet away from the Border Fence. From this base,
anti-racists marched to the MinuteMan camps, only to find they had left
to avoid the confrontation. From this spot activists intervened in
press events the MinuteMen tried to have at the crest of the Pacific
Crest Trail, just feet away from our campsite. People also made their
presence felt to every MinuteMan car that entered the area, as our camp
was just next to the main access road. Camp attendees posted their
stories on San Diego Indymedia from the temporary Desert Media Center
which was set up onsite.

On July 16th, the camp was joined by over 150 people from around the
state and around the country. This larger group marched to the site of
the planned MinuteMan meeting, only to find that it had been moved to
an unknown location due to pressure. Later in the day, anti-racists and
MinuteMen alike were forced out of their campsites by a brush fire.
This gave the anti-racist organizers an opportunity to confront the
MinuteMen at their regrouping point, the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Building in Campo, for an intense face to face standoff that was only
stopped by police intervention after the MinuteMen retreated into the
building. Throughout the night disruption techniques were used to
sabotage the MinuteMan patrols, which were met with threats that they
would shoot. The camp continued until Monday and actions will continue
day and night until the MinuteMen leave Campo. On Sunday night the
corporate media reported that the MinuteMen had given up after only one
day, but later corrected that statement.

That's really deep, man.

The funny thing here is that you are talking just as you'd expect a
"late arriving me-white guy type" to. You know, we've researched and
posted on immigration-related things for years now on api, but we
never thought uh all that! Thanks for the infopost.

One more time I will cross post to the collection of groups that the
original poster addressed. I am posting from sci-military.naval which
is starting to pick up posts from a wide range of fringe groups with no
relationship to naval topics. We have one prime clown and he seems to
have drawn more in. I'm sorry I was only fortifying your views but they
are bit radical for a group more interested in which hull the DD(X)
will use or if the Japanese will name their new almost aircraft carrier
after some dispicable ship from their past. Apologies, but clean out
sci.military.naval from crossposters and you won't get my sort of depth
of knowledge. Oh yeah, born and raised in Southern California, moved
away when it started filling up with idle postal workers with bad hand
eye coordination and loose lips that froze when confronted by numbers
greater than three.

So what?

Don't all people "have ancestry that greatly precedes that
date," genius?

That's probably true.  But defending oneself against assault by
10 thugs probably qualifies as self-defense, don't you think, genius?

Right.  Is that big news to you, genius?

Prophetic?  It's the story of criminal thuggery by no-borders gangs.
Waht exactly do you see in it, genius?

My mistake, the "Viper" character you're responding to is one of many
sockpuppets this fellow uses, he is an obsessive net-stalker and just
badly messed up.

FYI, yes there are a few Minutemen who resemble the boy-soldier you
point out, but most are not, they are sincere patriotic civilians for
the most part, doing the best they can with self-organization. The
Minuteman membership is chock full of LEOs, ex-military,
highly-trained competant gentlemen. They can carry weapons in legal
carry locales, and they do, but they are absolutely forbidden from
unholstering them unless they are experiencing the commission of a
felony upon themselves. No Show & Tell allowed, they can't even put
their hand on the handle while speaking to someone. All strictly
enforced.

Their purpose is to Watch and Report to the BP on Illegals crossing.
They cannot halt them, arrest them, if they even speak to them other
than "Buenos Noches" they are likely to be asked to leave by the
leadership. That's what the Minutemen do. The aim of the project is
political, aimed at Washington and the state governments, and they
have been extremely effective in that regard.
