***ANY MARINE ENGINEERS AROUND?***

Hi all,
I used to work as a Chief engineer on Merchant ships.
Subsequently I did a Masters in Software engineering
and am looking for enginering problems faced by
Marine engineers which could be solved by using
Artificial Neural Nets (an Artificial Intelligence technique).
I am on my way to start a PhD in this subject.
Is there anyone out there with similar interests?
