I do care... and that is more than enough they should consider my
petition...yet Cable TV companies can send unlimited amounts of video up
to a satellite and back down....but NASA can't...Yeah right.

The fact is that there are thousands of satellites but yet you cannot
watch one "live" feed from space. It is all recorded video and fake. The
question is: Just what is it that they do not want you to see?

If we ever do get a petition to them, I wonder what excuse they would
come up with to deny the petition.

Speaking of camera viewpoints, I always thought it interesting that they
never attached a forward-facing camera to any rocket launch. They always
just showed a camera facing towards the ground.

I actually listened to a phone conversation where someone called up NASA
PR and asked them why they didn't do that. The spokesman said they just
never had thought of it, and now it was too late because they only had a
couple more rocket launches.

Going by how you've acted/reacted lately, they probably would have a
naysay thing against doing anything suggested or requested by a half-
crazy Moor.

I agree that live video(s) and especially a few of the IR and UV
spectrums should have been the norm as of more than a decade ago, with
a dozen such cameras looking in most every direction at the same time.

the joke is they don't have anything up there where, they can attach any

I am still seeking people to support my petition...

BTW There are plenty of forward facing cameras on rockets, they're
called guided missiles, didn't we watch the First Iraq-War live TV Show!!!!!

A front facing camera may have provided some amazing imagery as it
pierced each layer of the atmosphere, and NASA always seems to like
showing things off for their audience.. but guess they just never
thought of it.

It's a little bit more complicated, but technically doable with modern
cameras and way better image storage memory that's sufficiently rad-
hard.

You think it would be a good idea to start a petition asking NASA for
better live-feed cam views from ISS?

If I had a say in this, I would want the cam to point away from the
earth when on the night side with light sensitivity increased so we
could see the stars and when on the daylight side have the cam point
ahead of the station showing the horizon. I think two cameras
broadcasting on a split screen would be a great start.

while your at it, ask them to upgrade their cameras to at least the
quality of my 1978 Instamatic.

I want to see fireworks when it flies over...

So how does one start an official petition?

It may come as a great surprise bu the ISS does not belong to NASA. I
know to you bunch of idiots there is only one space aganecy but try
and get real just once in your misspent lives?

An no matter how much evidence brought - you will never ever in a
million years convince the Warhol trolls. The do not operate on truth
but "belief".
