After all, you are a well established liar and numerous claims of yours have
been shown to be false. So I'm not going to accept any claim from you that
doesn't come with supporting evidence.

What rock did you grow up under to not KNOW this?
"Within the British Police, officers are not routinely armed. Instead,
they rely on specially trained Authorised Firearms Officers (AFO),
crewing Armed Response Vehicles to attend emergency calls where
firearms might be needed. Specialist Firearms Officers are usually
trained to a higher standard than an AFO, because they are likely to
be the officers required to enter besieged premises. The vast majority
of firearms used by the British Police are semi-automatic."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_police_firearms_in_the_United_Kingdom#cite_note-0
"The policy in England and Wales has long been that the police should
not generally be armed and that gives a character to our policing that
we should not readily give up."
http://police.homeoffice.gov.uk/operational-policing/firearms/
"One of the hallmarks of British society has been the predominance of
policing by officers who are not routinely armed."
"Firearms are issued to AFOs when an appropriate authorising officer
approves their carriage, overtly or covertly, during the course of
patrolling or for a specific firearms operation. In this context, the
issue of firearms includes the making available for immediate
operational use (i.e. actually carrying the weapon, as opposed to its
being kept in a mobile armoury)."
Note that "AFOs" are *specialist* police officers having additional
firearms training which regular officers do not receive. One must be
*AT LEAST* an AFO in order to be armed.
Now, don't you just feel like a real fuckwit? Well, you should.

All this talks about "routinely armed" or "not generally be armed"
So tell me, what does whether they are generally or routinely armed have to
do with an assertion that they generally get NO firearms training much less
EVER handle a firearm in the course of their duties?
After all, say they stop a suspect with a gun....is that unarmed officer
going to pick up that gun as evidence as a routine part of his duties?
William says he wouldn't.
So, if you have something that actually addresses the point feel free to
present it, however, if you are simply attempting to change the subject by
posting a bunch of stuff that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CLAIM MADE, then
you should STFU.
