reverse keystone effect?

With some new hi magnify reading glasses (for very fine print) I see quite a distortion when looking at rectangles such as a computer window. It is a rectangle that is shrunken in width towards the top (technically an isosceles trapezoid). I am aware of the "keystone effect" from looking at an angle, but this happens at any angle or straight. Does this suggest any lense error?
I think the right lense might be a bit off since it is fuzzier. I can rotate lense to check for cylindrical problem, and it does seem to be not quite at the best angle. There is a plus spherical and modest cyl correction. Could they have put a wedge (or whatever it's called) correction in by accident? Not possible to visit the maker. tks
