Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the... more »

MTs on Facebook
I think someone asked about MTs on Facebook recently, but I can't find the post. I did a search for Facebook Friends using the word transcriptionist. It came up with over 300 names. I don't know if any or all of the people are MTs, but if interested, you might try searching on Facebook using similar... more »

What do you think of that new guideline?
On television all morning have been comments about new government guidelines for mammograms. It's recommend that this test be started when a woman is in her 50's and not her 40's. My older sister first was diagnosed with breast cancer in her late 40's, and this gave her an extra eight years of life. She was... more »

Gifts for nursing home residents or meals on wheels
I would like to do something for people who are alone this Christmas. I am thinking of nursing home residents who do not have any family or with families who have abandoned them, or perhaps something for people who get meals on wheels (again with no family involvement). Looking for any ideas for the gifts. The only thing I can come up... more »

This is for any guitar lover - Ed?
I got this in an e-mail. It's absolutely hilarious: "A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar.... more »
