Hi, i just spotted Slumpy at Anna's. Weather is better for the cats
today... not as cold.

Did everyone have a good New Year?

So glad Slumpy is still doing well. Thank you so much for keeping us
updated.

For a few minutes this morning, I thought I'd misplaced three of my
mob. It turned out they'd finally discovered the closet back here in
the office. I rarely use that little space, so it was only when I
opened the door that I found the three of them on the floor all
cuddled up together on an old blanket.

Only Tabitha was roaming around the other rooms looking for my feet.
Lately she's developed a foot fetish, or rather a shoe/slipper
fetish. Unlike Mum, who used to complain that my shoes smelled since
I dislike wearing socks, my Tabitha seems to enjoy the smell. I just
have to watch very closely where I'm walking since she will stop in
front of me to sniff my defenseless toes.

I've spent the morning rereading my "Home of the White Dolphin" on the
Kindle Fire. Every now and then I winced when I noticed some type of
typo in this story. Some thoughts were not in italics as they should
be, and I even came across a couple punctuation errors. Hopefully the
people who bought and read this E-book weren't at nit picky as I am
and simply like the three plot lines.

Anyway, it's still cold here, so I'm going back to finish reading the
novel. Since the cats have abandoned me, I'll have to rely on a
blanket to keep warm. Hope your weather is better than out here.

Happy New Year to everyone who still comes to SMT.

Good for Slumpy!

The weather here is on a roller coaster; 70's one day, 40's the next.
Mountain Ceder is late, but striking with a vengeance. 500 grams/cubic
centimeter is considered high and we've been having readings of 12,000 to
over 16,000. This could last until early March:-(

500 grams per cc? That would be high, since water weighs one gram per cc.
Must some really dense air you're breathing.

Judity, I have noticed that on some very widely read books on the
Kindle. I think it's just a blip in transferring the text, and no one
will think it's your error!

Thanks, Sandi. That makes me feel better. When I originally download
my Ebooks from Smashwords to my laptop in the UPUB format, everything
looks okay. Maybe it's the ex MT in me that hones in on those Kindle
errors.

I'm having a lot of fun with my Kindle Fire. Sadly, Kathy M. asked if
I'd test out a game or two for a friend who is considering buying a
Kindle. Now I'm hooked on Jewels. She has a LOT to answer for.

Yeah, my current obsession is the Fire version of Scrabble. It fills
in the gaps when my Words with Friends peeps haven't gotten back to
me!

NO, NO, NO. You are such a wicked woman, Sandi.

I love word games, but have started out with the easy Kindle version
of Hangman. Unless Fire's Scrabble is free, I'm safe 'cause right now
I'm sticking pretty well to a financial diet.

What is Mountain Ceder, a kind of leaf mold thing, or tree pollen?

Scrabble isn't free (4.99 if I remember correctly), but there are
quite a few free word games on there. Just do a search. Mwah-ha-

JQA,

Thanks for pointing that out. The correct unit of measure is grains/cubic
meter.

Carol,

Mountain Cedar is really a Juniper tree and the allergen is the tree
pollen.
