Your turn.

*RETIRE* what is this word you speak of???
Donna,
I considered it for right now because of the gas prices. What turned
me off it was the fact that I would be riding it with a helmet at 20
miles an hour on hot concrete in triple digit months as well as the
glorious winter months. Have you picked out your color? They are so
pretty.
When I retire, I am going to be available to travel nonstop with all of
my rich friends.
My sister and I were in the bank. I got up to get a paper and someone
took my seat, so I was seated about six chairs away from her. This
woman sat down and my sister got into a conversation with her. My
sister was dying because she knew I was rolling my eyes. She can learn
everyone life history in under 10 minutes. I heard part of the
conversation, but I am just cracking up that my sister has become my
grandmother.
So we get up to go talk to the banker, and I call my sister by my
grandmother's name, so that the point wasn't lost. She then proceeds to
tell us that the woman is 92 years old and hires young women to travel
with her because she wants to see as many countries in this lifetime as
we can.
So here, the one time my sister gets a leg up on me, I am in the wrong
chair, my sister doesn't get the woman's name, nor does she jump in and
say, "you should meet my sister, she would love to travel with you."
What good are sisters?
Janice
What is a Vespa?
Retiring is a word that I don't think will happen in my lifetime, lol.
Looking at our finances now, it's not a pretty picture and I don't think
stopping working will be in the future unless we win the lotto or something.

Retirement is GREAT! I heartily recommended it to all of you.

Maybe Janice and I were separated at
birth. Travel, travel, and more travel.
There isn't enough time to see
everything on this earth.

Ppppffffftttt~~~~~~~~~~
I guess that my sister isn't the only one who is losing it. Shame on
me is right. This might have been my golden egg and I didn't even sit
on it for one minute to see if I could get it to hatch.
Janice
PS: Donna I guess I want my Vespa in Italy. Then I wouldn't have to
worry about the 118 it is here today.

Definitely something retro and pastel. If you're gonna have a Vespa, it
needs to look like a Vespa. I'll also get the one that tops out at 70 MPH.
I would really like to get one when I pay off tuition and such for the
kids. That'll be a while. I'll probably never truly retire :)

Hey! *I* had a Honda 90 dirt bike too!!! No cape though. ;-)
Bambi C.
Weren't they great little machines, Bambi? I got my one and only
driving ticket on it for going too slow on the freeway where I
shouldn't have been in the first place. The CHP was nice about it,
though, and told me where to get off. The freeway, that is.
My bike was named Nomad, and I cried when I had to finally part with
it. Now I just have a cape, but no bike.

It is for some of us.
My retirement (theoretically anyways) will also include lots of cooking.
Hopefully, some of that cooking will include cooking the fish I catch when I
go fishing in the boat I plan on theoretically having.
ed
Well Ed, hopefully you will visit me and can fish off my boat.
Unfortunately, I thought that I was closer to that goal than I was, but
just have to recalculate and find another way.
I may be delusional, but I plan to retire and just live on less, even
if it is in a tent.
Janice
Sometimes less is more.
Or so I've heard.
