My mom has a cat that looks very much like this. She got it from a neighbor's
farm when it was a kitten. The funny thing is, they have no other cats that
look anything like that! Genetics is a funny thing.

The latest name is Skitty - short for Skittish Kitty.
Kristin like Ursula, but I don't think that one is going to stick. Sarah
like Precious, but she really is not precious. I still like Cooter, but am
calling her Skitty in the hopes that she will eventually respond to that
name. Right now she only responds to Kee Kee, but as I've mentioned before,
she is not the sharpest tack in the box.

I love those pics - especially the last one with the cat asleep on top of your
books! They are adorable!
Well one of the outside cats has adopted me!!!!!! I have no idea why, but
she has decided I am her person. My husband let her in the house a couple
of times, but now it's become a regular thing in the morning for her to come
in with me when I get back from my pickups.
Incidentally, Neal, she looks like your Samantha, but with a sleeker
"Siamese" look to her face. Your cat pictures are great! Waiting for one
of the Persian.
Sucker that I am I am now buying her some special cat food treats for
morning. She wants to sit on my lap while I type, which would be fine if
she didn't want to help me type. she is fascinated with my fingers flying
over the keys. I have even bought her a toy!
My daughter is the big cat lover in the family, lives in NJ. They just lost
their flame-point Himaylayan, and were devastated. They are in the process
of getting 2 rag dolls, a blue lynx point female, and a flame point male.
They have heard great things about the Rag Dolls, so we shall see.
So, okay, I may join the threads about cats once in a while since I have
apparently now been adopted as a cat owner. I have no idea why this cat
chose me!
Incidentally, I haven't named her yet. Just can't seem to think of
something appropriate. I'm one of those who thinks names are important,
used to have a terrible time thinking of appropriate names for the 10 or 12
foals we used to have every year when we were actively breeding horses!
Most of our barn cats aren't named, except the yellow tom, or the money cat,
the old lady, etc.! So far this is just the black and white one!

I keep the cat bag over the back of my typing chair so it's handy when I sit
down (Snugglis are good). That way I can drop cat into bag, where it will
usually burrow down and go to sleep out of sight of flying fingers. Also,
some of the weight is off my thighs if it's one of my fat boys who is the
lap cat of the moment, and if I have to get up in a hurry I don't have to
negotiate cat rearrangement first.

Good one, Sheila! As someone who has or has had a number of cats named with
acroyms or they've been taken from a name, that's prime
p.s. I like that name. <G>
