"There is growing evidence that may suggest milk could be bad for the
prostate. People have long subscribed to the idea that water is the
only liquid you should drink, as Arnold Schwarzenegger once said "milk
is for babies". Evidence points to excessive calcium intake which can
suppress a form of vitamin D being synthesized in the body."

Arnold may be up to something here. Despite of heavy androgen use his
prostate is cancer free while his successor Jerry Brown is fighting
it ... Taka

Great, two data points and the sweeping conclusions thereof; now that is
good science for ya.

Actually there is a subcontinent of data points that suggest, Western RDI
for calcium maybe too high, or are higher to compensate for lower vitamin
D levels, or to compensate for other impairments of calcium uptake and or
excess excretion.

That calcium reduces the activation of vitamin D is textbook.........Trig

Actually that info is irrelevant to the point and assertion first made.

That high calcium diets aren't optimal for prostate health?

Prostate cancer in India compared to prostate cancer in Finland or maybe
Minnesota? Now I've got to refresh my memory.

No Shit Sherlock!

Folic Acid promotes age-related cancer, while helping to prevent heart
disease.

The World is Gray rather than Black & White ... Dumb Ass.

Take your "D" and shut up before YOU get a brain aneurysm.

The evidence with FA and cancer is at worst mixed. There is also evidence
that it prevent cancer. Moreover, there are other issues. I've
always tried to use unfortified nutritional yeast under the theory (fact)
that it contains more natural forms of FA than found in the tablets.
And for years I've tried to include greens in my diet for both the
carotenoids and the FA forms. True I've also taken and take the supplement
but unlike many here I loaded with methyl group contributors.

I can understand if one avoids much synthetic FA but FA is available in
foods and at decent doses IF one keeps a eye on the topic and
avoids (foolish socialization/bias) 'common-sense.' That juicer can
be a friend for natural FA. Natural FA has lower availability but
is also slow release so blood levels aren't spiked. And it's less
oxidized and comes in more than one form. SOME of which ARE more
active than the synthetic FA.

Plus early intervention is likely by far the best and late intervention
may speed some cancers caused in part by sub-optimal FA levels.
Or at least that is one hypothesis to consider before one runs
for the 'hills.'

Now there is some gray for you.....................Trig

Looks more like mud to moi. :(

Calcium ions are a required anti-cancer co-factor for vitamin D to
work. Anyone who avoids calcium because they are P-Brains is more
than stupid. They are suicidal, IMHO.
