Thoughts on Gohde-boy...

Think it through. He's born with physical and mental disabilities - not the
most serious ones that there are, but bad enough for him to feel utterly
unlovable and superfluous, especially since he doesn't go on to achieve much
educationally. He gets into the second half of his life - by which time his
own laziness and stupidity have even cost him all his teeth. But rather than
accept the reality of even further physical and mental impairment in the
future, he goes into desperate denial. He's not physically adequate - so he
desperately fantasises that he's an expert on optimal health and can
therefore lecture perfectly healthy people about what they do to their
bodies. He's not bright enough to make an original contribution to this
difficult field, and not diligent enough to learn the literature - so he
desperately pretends to be an authority by pasting together a website and
treating any person with *real* knowledge as if they are the sort of
pernicious idiot he secretly fears (and knows) himself to be. He can't even
come to terms with the loss of his teeth - so he desperately pretends that
losing them was a smart and advantageous move. When he comes across anyone
here who has a serious medical problem or condition, he insults them -
firstly because they're like him (and he hates himself), and secondly
because he doesn't think that anyone who's like him should have a better
time than he's had (especially if they've 'done it to themselves' - since
that means they 'deserve' it, whereas he was an 'innocent' victim).
Now, none of this behaviour is remotely useful in any real sense, and
there's nothing attractive or admirable about it. So his lifelong problem of
feeling superfluous and unlovable hasn't gone away - in fact, it's becoming
more painful with every passing day. So, since he isn't going to be liked,
he decides that he can at least be hated. And that's a kind of power, too -
since while someone who *likes* him could well decide one day that they
don't like him any more, someone who *hates* him is probably gonna hate him
forever: hate is more dependable. So he becomes the most persistently
useless, insulting, uninformed, wrong-headed poster in the history of
sci.med.nutrition - a complete *tool*, despised by all and sundry. Someone
who can't bring himself to killfile the people he hates, because he needs to
see that he still has the power to annoy them, to waste their time, to
attract their attention. Someone who continually creates new internet
accounts to post from, because he can't bear the thought that people might
have killfiled him and so avoid seeing his latest antics. There are people
here who would be absolutely *delighted* to find that he'd died - which
means that every day his just turning up again feels to him like a complete
victory. In addition, in doing all this he gets to feel that he's 'paying
back' the world for what it has 'done' to him by letting him be born
handicapped. What's more, much of the above he has to be in total denial
about, since he has to pretend to himself that he's someone special, and
this can only be done by fantasising that he's actually possessed of unique,
unalloyed and unassailable insight that is of benefit to people.
So, a personality that could have adjusted and matured so as to be capable
of making a small but real contribution to the world has instead twisted
into an ignorant, intolerant, hostile, semi-delusional shit-head whose every
waking moment is spent devising or carrying out actions that are at best
worthless and at worst mess up things for other people.

Obviously, for the reasons that you stated so well, his goal is to
distract, disturb, and annoy people and discussion on this newsgroup.
Every time people respond to his messages he's rewarded knowing that
he succeeded in annoying them and often shifting part of the
discussion to be about him. It is beyond me to understand why people
who claim to know him so well still fall for it and by doing so making
him the center of this newsgroup.
Obviously John is a loser but isn't it also true that the people who
respond to his posts are those who lose their control easily - exactly
what he wanted to happen and in that regard he IS the winner and the
newsgroup is the real loser? Wouldn't it be better for all of us if
people just ignore him no matter what he says? I think so.

is not Nutrition.
If Mark 'the Dork' knew what he was talking about he would have a Ph.D. in
Biochemistry, if not in Nutrition, from a top of the line Institution of
higher learning. No, as of this date he doesn't even have a Masters Degree,
just a super-ego to Nourish.
Mark Doran is just the local Village Idiot, super egoist, pompous ignoramus
who thinks that he is God. Mark 'the Dork' plays with shit all day. His
qualifications simply can not keep up with his inflated Ego. :-(
Mark 'the Dork' claims to believe that in health care the ultimate bottom
line is patients, yet he knocks me for being a patients' empowerment
advocate. Apparently, Mark 'the Dork' thinks that no one can advocate for
patients' rights without the proper credentials, which of course he himself
does not have.
Mark Doran is not remotely interested in promoting anything other than his
own ego. He couldn't care less about his own personal health, and certainly
*not* anybody's else's personal health. No Mark 'the Dork' just likes to
play with himself all day.
To repeat, Mark Doran is a Health Fraud without even a Masters degree in
Nutrition.

If that is your opinion, then your qualifications to be a Scientist and
objective are ZERO!
