Subject: A Fraud-Tactic Used by Yale/UConn (Tribune-owned Courant)

ARTICLE BELOW by the FURIOUS,
GRANT-LOSING UCONN
===============================

What's true is that Yale and
UConn have never told us what
OspA is/does:
http://www.actionlyme.org/101016.htm

So, because it is they who refuse
to recognize even their own science:
http://www.actionlyme.org/BRAIN_PERMANENT.htm
they accuse us of what they're
guilty of - simply not tolerating
their own science that says Lyme
is a permanent brain infection,
and that OspA could never have
been a vaccine as a TLR2-agonist:
http://www.actionlyme.org/101016.htm

Clearly UConn has a little sour-grapes
going on. They did not get their $100
million dollar grant. So, they slander
and libel us, and thereby, the scientific
Truth.

Unrecommended:

The "media" can't figure out that: in
order to demonstrate that know what you're
talking about as a scientist, you should at
least demonstrate that you are familiar with
the concept that 'structure is function'
at the molecular level. Yale and UConn
make no attempt to explain these simple
physical facts and laws to the "journalists."

So. That's their technique. They
accuse *us* of doing what *they're*
doing - not sticking to the science:
http://www.actionlyme.org

As an aside I am not talking about
ILADS.org or psychiatrists because we
know they're victims of brain-washing
and are no longer able to think
independently. ***We don't expect ILADS
to do our arguing for us.*** Psychiatrists
are not scientists and are soon to be
replaced with this New Age VooDoo -
a mix of Wicca, Pleiadian "Ascended
Master" worship, and the "I AM BECOMING
THE CHRIST-CONSCIOUSNESS.... oooohhmmmm"

Once again, assuming one's *WILL* can
overcome any scientific or spiritual
reality... And so the cycle repeats...

Let's see if I understand this: Politicians have done such a good job
with unemployment and the financial crisis that now they are taking
over the job of scientific peer review [Living, Dec. 29, "A Dubious
Diagnosis"]. Connecticut state Rep. Kim Fawcett's husband's illness is
driving legislation involving Lyme disease.

The Courant reports that "while they have lost the scientific battle
so far, chronic Lyme activists are winning politically." If America's
students could learn only one thing in their science training, it
should be to evaluate scientific evidence. They should learn to
consider the source of the information, how it was produced and who
has reviewed it.

Scientists are trained to rigorously question new findings; and
independent evaluators who are experts in a field oversee the
competitive process that leads to publication of peer-reviewed
scientific journal articles. Somebody's relative not feeling well does
not constitute scientific evidence.

It seems as if scientific peer review has lost the battle for public
respect to some cable news outlets and radio talk show hosts. Whether
it's global warming, medical conditions or even where the president of
the United States was born, the message seems to be: "Don't confuse me
with the facts; my mind is made up."
