Just curious whether anyone here might have any idea about how costs
compare between Canada and the U.S. for restorative dental procedures,
e.g. crowns, fixed bridges and implants.

Thanks for any information,

Some info on US fees can be found here...

Can't help you much on Canadian fees, but a friend is a DDS in Ottawa, and
his fees seem pretty high, especially when their is a separate charge
allowed for lab work. I never sat down and put pencil to paper to run
through all the conversions in US and Can $$.

If you do so, please post back...I'd be interested in what you found out.

Firstly, costs _tend_ to be lower here in Kaaannnaada than those in the
'States. There are exceptions, as in any profession. I don't have any
handy stats, but the next time I'm talking to Paul Martin and George W
Bush, I'll bring up the subject.

Tony: It makes sense that your friend who is a DDS in Ottawa can get
away with high fees: Ottawa is the Kanadian Government town. There are
scandalous amounts of loose money and bona fide loose money scandals
going round that town. Martin almost lost the government over one of
those just yesterday. I believe this is part of why your friend can get
away with that. Of course, if he has survived, it is also because he is
good. They won't stand for bullshit, anymore that people will any where
else.
