Most dentists that I have do not seem to want to give me good answers
to my questions. I have quite a few questions maybe somebody here has
an interest in answering some of them. Dentistry is a mystery to me.

Killing cavity causing germs:

Which chemicals can be used to kill cavity causing germs without
harming dental health? I have heard that ozone has been used to kill
bacteria. Is a gas better at killing bacteria because it can get into
smaller areas than a liquid can not get into? Listerine is supposed
to be good at killing germs. If Listerine had a better surfacant in
it, could it do as good of a job as a gas? Could ozone be used daily
to kill bacteria?

Remineralization:

Is there a device that can be made to remineralize teeth at night? As
a layman, it doesn't make sense that caves can deposit stalactites and
stalagmites and the medical community has not come up with something
to remineralize teeth. If it is difficult for a liquid with
remineralizing properties to get in to areas of the tooth to deposit
the mineral, can a gas be used to remineralize the teeth?

Bacteria tests:

Would a bacteria test be useful? Would it have to be done over time?
My thought is that it might not be useful because conditions in the
mouth change from day to day. I have heard of the Carifree system.
It is a system that determines the bacteria count in the mouth and
prescribes mouthwashes to kill the germs. Why wouldn't I want to use
the mouthwash if it works better than Listerine without even going
through the bacteria test?

Sources of demineralizing:

I know that bacteria can cause acid. I know that some drinks such as
Coca-cola are acidic. I have also heard that stomach acids can cause
dental problems. How would one be able to determine if stomach acids
were a problem? Is there a chewing gum or food that can be eaten
during the day to neutralize stomach acids or other acids? Will
frequently drinking water sufficiently neutralize acidic areas of the
mouth?

Hopefully somebody will have the desire to answer my questions.
