"In physical cosmology, dark energy is a hypothetical form of energy
that permeates all of space and has strong negative pressure.[1]
According to the Theory of Relativity, the effect of such a negative
pressure is qualitatively similar to a force acting in opposition to
gravity at large scales. Invoking such an effect is currently the most
popular method for explaining recent observations that the universe
appears to be expanding at an accelerating rate, as well as accounting
for a significant portion of the missing mass in the universe.

Two proposed forms for dark energy are the cosmological constant, a
constant energy density filling space homogeneously,[2] and
quintessence, a dynamic field whose energy density can vary in time
and space.
Nature of dark energy

As this NASA chart indicates, roughly 70 percent or more of the
universe consists of dark energy, about which we know next to
nothing. The exact nature of this dark energy is a matter of
speculation. It is known to be very homogeneous, not very dense and is
not known to interact through any of the fundamental forces other than
gravity. Since it is not very dense—roughly 10−29 grams per cubic
centimeter—it is hard to imagine experiments to detect it in the
laboratory (but see the references for a claimed detection). Dark
energy can only have such a profound impact on the universe, making up
70% of all energy, because it uniformly fills otherwise empty space.
The two leading models are quintessence and the cosmological constant.

Ummmm....no. And actually, it's Andrew's old Subject: topic.

Dark energy doesn't have to be homogeneous, by the way. There's
some thought afoot of re-visiting a basic principle of colsmolgy,
that the universe itself is homogeneous at very large scales.
That assumption was necessary to make the equations of general
relativity tractable, but observations increasingly indicate
that it may be a bad assumption. In which case, dark energy
may turn out not to be needed at all to explain cosmic
expansion.

Why? If everything runs down, then everything runs down.

In any event, no one ever said that dark energy would reverse
entropy. Precisely the opposite in fact: an expanding universe
with a fixed energy content represents an increase in entropy.

Furthermore, under some theories of dark energy, the rate of expansion
of space will accelerate until even the atoms are torn apart.
Now THAT's what I call increasing entropy.

At the Big Bang, the total energy in the universe was concentrated
in a tiny volume. As space expands, that energy disperses; that's
increasing entropy.

As far as conditions before the big bang, as well the question of
whether there will be another...well, here's a quick 500-word essay
that covers both topics:

Well, that could be quite useful! So why don't you ask HIM, and
report back on HIS answer?

And just so no cynic might accuse you of simply making up "HIS
answer", please ask HIM for a solution to the equations of
General Relativity which does not depend on the simplfying
assumption of large-scale homogeneity? That would provide
not only proof positive, but a possible resolution to
the troubling question of dark energy as well.

In convicting you, HE has altered reality. The past tense here would
not indicate a past time but a past reality.

GOD is the Author of all reality (including the alternate ones).

With so much "Nobody knows", I never consider myself as absolute(free
from imperfection) and final on any aspect which is not yet become
absolute, final and know to us.

Though HE is Omni...still indescribable. So I prefer not to enter in
HIS field- express HIM and HIS sayings/work in absolute sense. Current
atmosphere, environment, imalances and age effect can distort and
deviate us. I try to do, follow, indicate and express as per need and
entitlement of time otherwise either probably, HE or nature may take
care accordingly or I may get HIS/Nature's punishments here (may be
reward there). Excess of everything is said to be bad [whether good or
bad]. Best wishes.

Let's Assume that your GOD exists!
Atheists do not believe about the existence or non-existence of God. God
knows God exists and therefore God does not need to believe about something
that God knows. So God does not believe in the existence of God. So God is
an Atheist!

As yet, many things are yet to be understood as science is not yet
complete and absolute(free from imperfection). So nothing may be a
truth in science till it become absolute anf final. So understanding
god absolutely is pending in science but "indication; indescribable
may remain inability or capacity of science to understand one mother/

Aldebaran is the alpha star in which constellation?

What is its classification, and what language is it named in?

Most people believe that toilets flush CCW in the northern hemisphere
due to Earth's unbelievably powerful coriolis effect -- some even
believe
the hair on people's heads north of the equator grows in a CCW
direction
for the same reason. Simple testing proves that neither assumption is

Blind dogmatism is apparently hard coded into the human genome, to

Yet you pretend expertise.

Procyon, Betelgeuse, and Sirius make up the Winter Triangle. A
lovely asterism, a near-perfect equilateral triangle, now high in
the south at about 10:00.

Aldebaran is "the follower," a KIII orange supergiant, 35 solar
diameters,
eye of Taurus the bull. Named "the follower," as it rises -- and
follows -- the
Pleides, the famed Seven (now six) Sisters of ancient times.

Stars generally have Arabic names. I assume by your past posts that
you're islamic? If so, you should have said something when I offered

"prime force/mediator to prime force"...same entity but explained
differently by many names/forms/images....though felt/endorssed by
majority of people and
indicated as "indescribable" by our ancient ancesstors/learned people
but "yet to be known/understood in science(alike many other things).
There has to be one prime/mother-father to all subsequent
generations....forces and its mediators, matters, things and beings.

Btw, what can be thought as "omnipresent" and prime source to all
things and beings?

Well, Mark - looks like a bit of last minute feverish praying by Chung and
his buddies managed to avert it.
I suppose we should thank him, really.
Hey Chunks, buddy!
Thanks for saving the world (again)

Many thanks, much praise, and all the glory to GOD for HIS compelling
you to serve unwittingly to illustrate HIS infinite power.

Tragically, dear Bob Pastorio, who remains in my prayers, serves a
timely example of what happens to those who unwisely choose to put off
the Holy Spirit:

http://bobs-amanuensis.livejournal.com/4211.html

May you be wiser than Bob Pastorio by your choice to surrender to HIM
by publicly declaring with your mouth that "Jesus is LORD:"

If there is a God, wouldn't he more likely respect people who used their
God-given brains and had honest skepticism based on lack of evidence,
ubiquitous contradictions, and on
the bad acts performed in his name?

Logically, he would seek to punish those
who professed belief in him for selfish reasons of seeking better treatment
in an afterlife and ranting away condemning others -- perhaps he will even
make them the slaves of the more honest and worthy atheist
skeptics.

The Bible is full of various types of tests -- as a ranting Jesus monkey,
the afterlife you can look forward through is probably at the end of a leash
held by an atheist.
