Leg pain - caused by birth control pill?

writing on behalf of my 27-year old girlfriend who has been using the
birth control pill for a few months. In the last 2 weeks, she's
noticed a cramp-like pain in her calves when she's tired or has been
sitting still for a while. She also notices a throbbing sensation in
the calves sometimes, when she has the pain. She also gets quite cold
feet - that's a thing she's had for years - and so is wondering
whether it's a circulation problem? Could the pill could be causing
some thrombosis-like condition? She's heard that this can happen.
Any advice would be welcome - thanks in advance.

It is possible because it is a known adverse reaction to birth control
pills.
Would suggest you inform her prescribing doctor about the recent new
symptoms.

sell it. Expect him to either run away screerching and howling, or do a
furious little foot-stamping jig on Bob Pastorio's grave. Either way
Chung's core lies are exposed and the VICTORY is for the TRUTH of his

Actually, she probably does not have clots, but it would be worth
getting this checked out. What's described above would not be typical
for DVT (clots in the deep veins of the legs).

Agree. Could be thrombophlebitis involving the superficial veins,
however.
