Dr. Chung, Excellent work! Thank you for exposing Sermo for what it
is. I had my account deactivated over the weekend, although I
intentionally broke the terms of use agreement to "carpet bomb" 50
posts calling for a national walk from health from thrid party payors
in 1 year. Although my tactics were imperfect I thought the total body
of my contribution to Sermo was significant enough to keep my overly
enthusiatic offense from getting me banned. I was highly ranked and
supported in my attempts to motivate the community into positive
action towards health care reform. Additionally I was very active in
sharing information regarding my specialty of ophthalmology. But none
of that mattered and I was deactivated. As in your case, Sermo has
failed to respond in accordance with their policies. That is, I have
not been given the courtesy of a discussion with management.

Your case is an even less justifiable example of innappropriate
banning. I have been very aggressive in my own attacks of Sermos
behavior. I am considering legal action. For now, I am waiting for
someone from Sermo, preferrably Palestrant to respond to my cage-
fighting/MMA/UFC challenge. I have offered to settle this matter in
the octagon with Sermos CEO on July 4th, 2008 at the MGM in Las Vegas!
I will let you know if he accepts. Please stay in touch with any new
developments. I will do the same. I think we may need to develop a
better system for physicians. One that is not derailed by management
self-interests.

I am trying to put up some of my own responses to Sermo:

Excellent! Now two mentally ill physicians who have both been banned
from Sermo for ridiculous, repetitive posting can unite! Perhaps Chung
can also join Meehan's cage fight challenge to Dr. Palestrant, the
Sermo founder. Actually, Dan Palestrant looks pretty buff and he's at
most forty years old. He could take Chung with one hand, in about 20
seconds. I'd pay to watch that fight.

This other guy, Meehan is a blustery ophthalmologist. Claims to make 1
million a year. On Sermo he manically posted crap. He threatened to
beat up a fellow Sermo member. He seemed like he was in the midst of a
psychotic break, or else at the peak of a manic episode. He lasted
about a week on Sermo, just like Chung.

At least Meehan wasn't interpreting Bible and scripture to suit his
own agenda like our Chungboi does.

Wouldn't an alliance of Chung and Meehan be just swell?

This ought to be great entertaining, Meehan starts his post be
admitting that he deliberately violated the terms of service. He
won't find a lawyer in their right mind to take his case with that on
the record. But then Meehan believes that he is special, since his
"significant body of work" which like Chung's "our collective
clinical experience" seems to consist of spamming. Shesh!

What is it with these delusional people and their "million dollar"
claims? Over the years I've dealt with a number of them. They seem to
wind up in serious trouble.

Both of these people need help and won't get it. They will
eventually, by force of law.

Threatening physical harm could be a chargeable offense if the victim
presses charges. Chung has made what I consider terroristic threats
toward me personally in the form of his Deadsatan and TruthCutssatan
posts. I don't take them seriously, yet. I am beginning to wonder
though if he does pose a threat to himself or others. If he knew
where to find me and made any effort to physically confront me he
would be charged.

It's inevitable - Chung will have an encounter that will put himself
in conflict with police again.

This happened a while ago - when was this written

So Meehan admits he broke the rules.

Evidently not - maybe others did not agree with Meehan's ego

I do not think he was ranked that high among the doctors who actively
participate as opposed to the ranking of all 60,000 plus who are not that
active.

In some specialties, only a relative few are active so can have a high
ranking - #5 out of 1000 active is different from #5 of 8 who are active.

Unless you know the numbers, statistics can be misleading, which is the case
here.

Hey Chung troll. You missed this lovely site of Dr. Meehan's:

http://sermosucks.com/

Just start posting your Chung Dung there. Be sure to mention the
convicts and the 2 PD and the 2 million dollar guarantee. Make sure
everyone who doesn't agree with you promptly gets called Satan. You
are sure to win lots of devoted followers, just like you have here on
Usenet.

This is fantastic news, Andy! A new playmate! I see a reality show in the
making. Just remember not to alienate your new buddy and call him satan too
soon for saying something like he's full cuz it's so hard for crazy people
to make friends.

To clarify: Sermo is about two years old, a physicians only website.
Some industries such as pharma pay a fee to have access to certain
discussions or else to pose questions for physicians to answer. Sermo
is free to physicians. Once in a while we receive a small honorarium,
$20 or so for answering certain posts and giving our opinions.

Sermo now has over 60,000 members. I have been a member for about two
years. In our collective experience :-) when we discussed this on
threads, us old timers of Sermo are only aware of three deactivations.
One was a self-deactivation done by a vociferous, highly opinionated
MD JD who requested deactivation because he didn't agree with the TOS.
The other two deactivations are....Chung and Meehan.

Meehan first joined Sermo in about March or April 2008. Chung was
already gone by last December or so. The two never crossed paths on
Sermo.
