May dear neighbors, friends, and brethren have a blessedly wonderful
2008th year since the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ as the Son of
Man ...

... by being hungrier:

Hunger is wonderful:

http://HeartMDPhD.com/Hunger

It's how we know what GOD wants, which is what is good.

Yes, hunger is our knowledge of good versus evil that Adam and Eve
paid for with their and our immortal lives.

Those who suffer from the powerful delusion predicted by the prophecy
of 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 would deny this and perish ( gone !!! )
forever ...

The clean up will indeed happen when you are thrown in the lake of
fire being prepared for you and your demons, both non-corporeal (evil

In the interim, may we, who are Jesus' brethren, continue rebuke you

Yahweh never said Jesus was divine.

It was disputed whether he was or not, in the early Christian church.

The First Council of Nicaea was a committee meeting of 300 bishops and
they said Jesus was divine, 300 years after he was dead.

The meeting was called by the Roman Emperor Constantine and he did it
for political reasons because he wanted to institute a state religion,
for political reasons.

Jesus is a manmade false god and praying to a crucifix is idolatry.

Christians are condemned by Yahweh in...

Deuteronomy 5:6-18 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the
land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; 7you shall have no other
gods before me. 8You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in
the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth
beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 9You shall not bow
down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous
God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and
fourth generation of those who reject me, 10but showing steadfast love
to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my
commandments.

By the way - there is no Commandment against not believing in any
gods.

It's YOU who is going to hell for worshipping false gods and idols -
atheists break no Commandments.

Lie.

The Bible is the Holy Spirit-guided human-written Word of GOD.

Yahweh breathed the Bible into existence.

The following is written clearly in the Bible:

No one clicks on your self-aggrandizing, repetitive links, Chung. If
you have something to say, say it. And do you actually believe that
all other posters on these news groups who question you are Satan or a
sock puppet? That's delusional as well as an example of self
reference. Every other rational human knows that your detractors and
critics are intelligent people, not Satan somehow taunting you through
the internet. It's not all about you, Chung.

Who's this "we, " Chung? And who's the "our" in "our collective
clinical experience?" You and your assholey sprite? You and your
imaginary friends? Just because you post a link to your vanity
website, doesn't mean that Satan has been rebuked by you, Jesus'
brethren or anyone else. When you post the last repetitive link on a
thread and call someone "satan" it is a demonstration of your twisted
thought processes. It doesn't mean you've refuted that which was said
before just because you posted last. People egg you on for
entertainment sake. Although your repetitive links and drivel are
becoming boring lately. The writers' strike is over. Perhaps you can

Your title isn't pompous enough yet. Back to the drawing board.

Bottom line: You are a dysfunctional, mean spirited person who gives
dangerous and unsubstantiated medical advice. You have gleefully
destroyed a message board sci.med.cardiology with your nonsense and
it's turned into a joke site about you. You are not able to function
in the real world of clinical medicine. You can't maintain
relationships with "friends" or hold down a job. If you continue to
paste your repetitive links and drivel, you will lose even the
smattering of an audience you have here.

Remember Chung. We are not Satan nor his sockpuppets. We are a bunch
of intelligent and educated individuals on Usenet who find you
somewhat entertaining at times. We are laughing at you, not with you.

Yes, you are a liar.

From Ency. Britannica:
The New Testament consists of 27 books, which are the residue, or
precipitate, out of many 1st-2nd-century-AD writings that Christian
groups considered sacred. In these various writings the early church
transmitted its traditions: its experience, understanding, and
interpretation of Jesus as the Christ and the self-understanding of
the church. In a seemingly circuitous interplay between the historical
and theological processes, the church selected these 27 writings as
normative for its life and teachings--i.e., as its canon (from the
Greek kanon, literally, a reed or cane used as a measuring rod and,
figuratively, a rule or standard). Other accounts, letters, and
revelations--e.g., the Didache (Teaching of the Twelve Apostles),
Gospel of Peter, First Letter of Clement, Letter of Barnabas,
Apocalypse (Revelation) of Peter, Shepherd of Hermas--exist, but
through a complex process the canon was fixed for both the Eastern and
Western churches in the 4th century. The canon contained four Gospels
(Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), Acts, 21 letters, and one book of a
strictly revelatory character, Revelation. These were not necessarily
the oldest writings, not all equally revelatory, and not all directed
to the church at large.

The New Testament has numerous errors and contradictions - it was
written by PEOPLE - not yahweh.

The Old Testament has Commandments which condemn worshipping gods
other than yahweh, and idol worship (crosses etc.) - you do both.

According to the Ten Commandments, YOU are condemned.

There is no Commandment against atheism.

As to jesus being the messiah, why don't you refute what this rabbi
has to say?
Jesus as the Messiah? by Rabbi Shraga Simmons

Question: Why did the majority of the Jewish world reject Jesus as
the Messiah, and why did the first Christians accept Jesus as the
Messiah?

Answer

It is important to understand why Jews don't believe in Jesus.
Jews do not accept Jesus as the messiah because:
1) Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies.
2) Jesus did not embody the personal qualifications of the Messiah.
3) Biblical verses "referring" to Jesus are mistranslations.
4) Jewish belief is based on national revelation.

At the end of this article, we will examine these additional topics:

5) Christianity contradicts Jewish theology
6) Jews and Gentiles
7) Bringing the Messiah
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) JESUS DID NOT FULFILL THE MESSIANIC PROPHECIES

What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he
will:
A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression,
suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword
against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite
humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world --
on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah
14:9).

The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic
prophecies.

Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming,
but Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies
outright, and no concept of a second coming exists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) JESUS DID NOT EMBODY THE PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF MESSIAH

A. MESSIAH AS PROPHET

Jesus was not a prophet. Prophecy can only exist in Israel when the
land is inhabited by a majority of world Jewry. During the time of
Ezra (circa 300 BCE), when the majority of Jews refused to move from
Babylon to Israel, prophecy ended upon the death of the last prophets
-- Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.
Jesus appeared on the scene approximately 350 years after prophecy had
ended.

B. DESCENDENT OF DAVID

The Messiah must be descended on his father's side from King David
(see Genesis 49:10 and Isaiah 11:1). According to the Christian claim
that Jesus was the product of a virgin birth, he had no father -- and
thus could not have possibly fulfilled the messianic requirement of
being descended on his father's side from King David!

C. TORAH OBSERVANCE

The Messiah will lead the Jewish people to full Torah observance. The
Torah states that all mitzvot remain binding forever, and anyone
coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false
prophet. (Deut. 13:1-4)
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus contradicts the Torah and states
that its commandments are no longer applicable. (see John 1:45 and
9:16, Acts 3:22 and 7:37)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) MISTRANSLATED VERSES "REFERRING" TO JESUS

Biblical verses can only be understood by studying the original Hebrew
text -- which reveals many discrepancies in the Christian translation.

A. VIRGIN BIRTH

The Christian idea of a virgin birth is derived from the verse in
Isaiah 7:14 describing an "alma" as giving birth. The word "alma" has
always meant a young woman, but Christian theologians came centuries
later and translated it as "virgin." This accords Jesus' birth with
the first century pagan idea of mortals being impregnated by gods.

B. CRUCIFIXION

The verse in Psalms 22:17 reads: "Like a lion, they are at my hands
and feet." The Hebrew word ki-ari (like a lion) is grammatically
similar to the word "gouged." Thus Christianity reads the verse as a
reference to crucifixion: "They pierced my hands and feet."

C. SUFFERING SERVANT

Christianity claims that Isaiah chapter 53 refers to Jesus, as the
"suffering servant."
In actuality, Isaiah 53 directly follows the theme of chapter 52,
describing the exile and redemption of the Jewish people. The
prophecies are written in the singular form because the Jews
("Israel") are regarded as one unit. The Torah is filled with examples
of the Jewish nation referred to with a singular pronoun.
Ironically, Isaiah's prophecies of persecution refer in part to the
11th century when Jews were tortured and killed by Crusaders who acted
in the name of Jesus.
From where did these mistranslations stem? St. Gregory, 4th century
Bishop of Nanianzus, wrote: "A little jargon is all that is necessary
to impose on the people. The less they comprehend, the more they
admire."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) JEWISH BELIEF IS BASED SOLELY ON NATIONAL REVELATION

Of the 15,000 religions in human history, only Judaism bases its
belief on national revelation -- i.e. God speaking to the entire
nation. If God is going to start a religion, it makes sense He'll tell
everyone, not just one person.
Judaism, unique among all of the world's major religions, does not
rely on "claims of miracles" as the basis for its religion. In fact,
the Bible says that God sometimes grants the power of "miracles" to
charlatans, in order to test Jewish loyalty to the Torah (Deut. 13:4).
Maimonides states (Foundations of Torah, ch. 8):
The Jews did not believe in Moses, our teacher, because of the
miracles he performed. Whenever anyone's belief is based on seeing
miracles, he has lingering doubts, because it is possible the miracles
were performed through magic or sorcery. All of the miracles performed
by Moses in the desert were because they were necessary, and not as
proof of his prophecy.
What then was the basis of [Jewish] belief? The Revelation at Mount
Sinai, which we saw with our own eyes and heard with our own ears, not
dependent on the testimony of others... as it says, "Face to face, God
spoke with you..." The Torah also states: "God did not make this
covenant with our fathers, but with us -- who are all here alive
today." (Deut. 5:3)
Judaism is not miracles. It is the personal eyewitness experience of
every man, woman and child, standing at Mount Sinai 3,300 years ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

5) CHRISTIANITY CONTRADICTS JEWISH THEOLOGY

The following theological points apply primarily to the Roman Catholic
Church, the largest Christian denomination, and the one most familiar
to the Western world.

A. GOD AS THREE?

The Catholic idea of Trinity breaks God into three separate beings:
The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19).
Contrast this to the Shema, the basis of Jewish belief: "Hear O
Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is ONE" (Deut. 6:4). Jews declare
the Shema every day, while writing it on doorposts (Mezuzah), and
binding it to the hand and head (Tefillin). This statement of God's
One-ness is the first words a Jewish child is taught to say, and the
last words uttered before a Jew dies.
In Jewish law, worship of a three-part god is considered idolatry --
one of the three cardinal sins that a Jew should rather give up his
life than transgress. This explains why during the Inquisitions and
throughout history, Jews gave up their lives rather than convert.

B. MAN AS GOD?

Christians believe that God came down to earth in human form, as Jesus
said: "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).
Maimonides devotes most of the "Guide for the Perplexed" to the
fundamental idea that God is incorporeal, meaning that He assumes no
physical form. God is Eternal, above time. He is Infinite, beyond
space. He cannot be born, and cannot die. Saying that God assumes
human form makes God small, diminishing both His unity and His
divinity. As the Torah says: "God is not a mortal" (Numbers 23:19).
Judaism says that the Messiah will be born of human parents, and
possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a
demi-god, and will not possess supernatural qualities. In fact, an
individual is alive in every generation with the capacity to step into
the role of the Messiah. (see Maimonides - Laws of Kings 11:3)xxx
So why do religions exist? becasue they serve several universally
occurring needs and purposes, of several common groups of people, in
any given society that exists, or has ever existed.

Yes, you didn't even try to lie your way out.

OK, let's shift to a topic more fundamental to your condition.

Schizophrenia memory differences

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7289245.stm

The scans showed up areas of activity in the brain
People with schizophrenia use different areas of their brain to
process some short-term memories, research suggests.
The finding by US scientists might help explain why the condition is
often linked with enduring memory problems.

The study, by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, found
healthy subjects used the right side of the brain to remember specific
locations.

However, schizophrenic patients used a wider network of areas on both
sides of the brain.

Cognitive impairment, including problems with memory, is one of the
most disabling symptoms of schizophrenia

Researcher Professor Sohee Park said: "This suggests that while
healthy people recruit a specialised and focused network of brain
areas for specific memory functions, schizophrenic patients seem to
rely on a more diffuse and wider network to achieve the same goal."

The researchers, who used scans to monitor brain activity during
trials of memory, also found a fundamental difference in the way
healthy people and schizophrenic patients made errors.

When healthy people forgot, they had no confidence in their response
for that trial and the brain areas used during correct memory trials
remained inactive.

In other words, their pattern of brain activation was tightly coupled
to their actual memory performance.

However, when schizophrenic patients forgot, they were very confident
that they had remembered correctly, and their brain activation pattern
looked exactly the same whether they had remembered correctly or not.

Professor Park said: "Such coupling of storing incorrect information
and feeling confident of one's response may be one way to think about
how delusions get initiated."

Marjorie Wallace, of the mental heath charity SANE, said: "The
evidence is showing that the connections in the brain are different
for people with schizophrenia, leading to delusions, hallucinations
and disorganised speech and behaviour.

"Only by understanding the fundamental changes in the brain will we be
able to discover the causes and better treatments for this distressing
condition, which affects one in a hundred people worldwide."

Mrs Wallace said recent research suggested that schizophrenia may be
the result of the marked split in function between the two sides of
the brain which, it is thought, give humans their unique capacity for
language.

Paul Corry, of the schizophrenia charity Rethink, said: "Cognitive
impairment, including problems with memory, is one of the most
disabling symptoms of schizophrenia, but is even more poorly
understood than the other main symptoms - hallucinations and
delusions.

"These findings offer some pointers to further research."

Mr Corry said the best way to protect people from cognitive impairment
was to provide medical help and social support as early as possible in
the illness.

Let's move on to the picture thing, again.

I've seen two photos of you. One is a black and white, in a medical or
lab setting, from 10 or more years ago. You look fit, happy and
engaged.

The second one I've seen is a much more recent one in color with some
mayor or something. You look terrible.

You look like you're ill and haven't slept in a week, which is
consistent with the fact that a lot your posting has times indicating

Why don't you post a recent photo and show everyone the effects that
your jesus devotion has had on you?

Are you afraid?

from Ency. Britannica:

Nicaea, Council of (325), the first ecumenical council of the
Christian church, meeting in ancient Nicaea (now Iznik, Tur.). It was

neophyte, who presided over the opening session and took part in the
discussions. He hoped a general council of the church would solve the
problem created in the Eastern church by Arianism, a heresy first
proposed by Arius of Alexandria that affirmed that
*** Christ is not divine but a created being.**** Pope Sylvester I did
not attend the council but was represented by legates.

You are an idiot. (All others see above).

You are liar.

Um, can you tell me why you feel so strongly about this, that you are
willing to throw insults at a perfect stranger?

Is it? Did you check?

Rather than this dubious-looking bit of stuff supposedly from a
general encyclopedia, perhaps some primary data would be helpful.

From "Documents of the Christian Church", second edition, Selected
and
Edited by Henry Bettenson, Oxford University Press. pp. 39-401.

The Letter of Arius to Eusebius, Bishop of Nicomedia, c. 321

"...But what we say and think we both have taught and continue to
teach; that the Son is not unbegottten, nor part of the unbegotten in
anyway, not is he derived from any substance; but that by his own will
and counsel he existed before times and ages fully God, only-begotten,
unchangeable. And before he was begotten or created or appointed or
established, he did not exist; for he was not unbegotten. We are
persecuted because we say that the Son has a beginning, but God is
without beginning. For that reason we are persecuted, and because we
say that he is from what is not. And this we say because he is neither
part of God nor derived from any substance. For this we are
persecuted; the rest you know. I trust that you are strong in the
Lord, mindful of our afflictions, a true fellow-disciple of Lucian,
Eusebius."

NB: **the Son ... existed before times and ages fully God, only-
begotten, unchangeable.**

You offer, I note, no evidence for this claim. It is, in fact,
untrue.

Some years ago I went and looked at every piece of ancient evidence
that exists on the Council of Nicaea and digested them here:

Most people know that Christianity became the state religion only
under Theodosius, 50 years later.

Like so.

QED.

I recommend that you do this yourself, and get rather less excited
when you make mistakes.
