Dear Vladimir,

there are many interesting things out there on
the web, but when I come to a newsgroup I would
like to hear personal opinions and comments and
not only be shown a link.

Ok, here is another one of Zeilberger's opinions:
http://www.math.rutgers.edu/~zeilberg/Opinion68.html
I cite:

"No offense, but most of the infinitarian lore is
sooo boring and the Bourbakian abstract nonsense
leaves you with such a bitter taste that it feels
more like Hell."

This is most concrete nonsense I ever read on
mathematics on the web. My personal feelings are
just the opposite of the sentiments Doron expressed.

As a footnote to his opinion Zeilberger wrote:
"Added Dec. 6, 2008: I am very pleased and honored
that Wolfgang Mueckenheim quoted this opinion in
lecture XI of his fascinating course."

WM is known as a crank in the mathematical community.
If WM quoted me in an affirmative way I would not
be amused. This would signal to me that I have said
something very stupid.

No doubt, Zeilberger has written some very important
stuff. When I read Zeilberger's opinions it always
reminds me of the words of Grandmaster DEK who
wrote in the foreword to "A=B":

"It is always a treat to read [his] publications,
especially when [he is] discussing really
important stuff."
