I am really new with the Mathematics program -Maple- and I can not
understand the following answers

1
> infinity^0;
1

is this correct?

yes.
To prove ( :) ) the first of these, type into google 0^0
The second answer isn't controversial at all
You can find discussions of this on the http:/mathforum.org if you
search on 0^0.
This is not really central to what sci.math.symbolic is about.
