Adaptive PV Cell Arrays,
risc++, post AT&T fiber optics, post GM robotics, post McDonald's
Holograms,
XML, Optical Computers, Neo Wind Energy, and USB, rather than more

The fuel tanks on commuter vehicles are over 4% of gross vehicle
weight. It's generally less than 0.5% on semi rigs. The semi can go
3 - 4 times further on a tank of fuel than the commuter. DOT regs
tend to reduce the distance even more.
We need to focus on a cheap battery even if it is inefficient.

I suspect that you'd swap out a battery that would be
recycled by some means other than recharging, such as
the aluminum-air battery. It's a primary battery that
is recycled by refining the aluminum back to metal.

I suspect in an all-electric transportation system, you'd stop at a
'battery station' and change out your discharged battery for a charged
one.

The usage of "hybrid" here isn't the same as in the EEStor literature.
EEStor is a hybrid between a capacitor and a battery.
Here several different batteries are selectively used to reduce costs.
