This newsgroup isn't very busy anymore. Most action has moved to dedicated
translator's sites and forums, such as Proz.com, Translatorscafe.com,
Aquarius.com and others.
I suggest you take a look.

Plus the posts are retained indefinitely, and you can search them by
keyword, and threads are organized in subforums so you can easily find
subjects you're interested in...

Usenet you can archive on your own machine as long as you want. Or
there's Google

But you can do that with Usenet - and unlike web forums you can
organise things in 'subforums' by your own classficiation, not someone
else's
