Could someone help me find French equivalents to the terms
between * in the following sentence?

"When painting flowers *either stroke flowers or tapped
flowers* squeeze out small amounts of your colors and get
fresh paint often for the best results."

'tapped flowers' sounds like they're talking about pointillism (i.e.
tapping your brush onto the canvas to make a ssea of Seurat-esque dots).
'stroke flowers' would then be flowers painted with ordinary brush
strokes.
