Generally speaking, could you expect a slang or jargon in one
(sub)culture or in one language can exactly match in slang or jargon in
another (sub)culture or language?
My question is in reverse direction. Is there a English word for
オタク, ねくら, ダサイやつ? If you say "nerd" for one of then, then
yes, there is a Japanese word for NERD. But each one has its own nuance,
which would differ from the word "nerd".
