Hello.

The following is (supposedly) a signature on a guitar made in Japan:
http://bleyer.org/signature.gif (rotated)

I would be very thankful if somebody here can translate it for me.

Cheers.

With Japanese names, no one but the owner knows for sure.

Posibilities for the surname are: Hosonoya, Hosoya, possibly Hosotani?

I'm drawing a strange blank on the second character of the given name,
but the first half would be Nobu or Shin. Or maybe the last character
is some sort of "made by" instead of part of the name? Then the given
name could be probably Nobu, Noburu, Shin, or who knows what.

If you're still there, Pablo, Cindy came up with the last character--an
easy one, as I suspected.

The given name is probably either Shin'ya or Nobuya.

So, do any of those six possibilities do you any good?

Well, with all the information I can focus my research now. I will let
you know if I finally find out whose signature it is!

Cheers.
