WW2 Japanese painting - repost

I have a circa WW2 Japanese painting that is in my posession. If anyone
can translate the writing on it I would appreciate it. They have been in
my family since 1947. Below are 2 links to the painting:

The name of the painter is 春雄　（HARUO）,
but I don't know who he is.

It's just the artist's given name, Haruo, and his seal, which I can't read.

Interesting...thank you for your help. The story is my grandfather picked
this up during the US occupation of Japan following WW2. He was stationed
there with my grandmother and dad. I think it would have been my
grandmother who wanted the painting and possibly bought it off the artist
or vendor in Japan.

I think the seal just says Haruo too.

Yes, you're right, of course. I saw a "$" at first on the top, and that
stopped me short.

Google tells me there have been quite a few 画家 named 春雄, but I don't
know where to go from there.

Googling for images with those words gives nothing. Googling for images
with
just the name gives 167 mostly Taiwanese hits. Removing site:.tw and
site:.tw.ebay.com knocks that down to 38 hits, only one of which
involves
paintings, and that one apparently by a different artist. All of this
done with
SafeSearch turned off. (shudder)

Googling for images with "haruo" and "painter" gives 37 hits, only one
of which
looks at all similar, and that one's no longer on its original site.

(And I don't know where to go from there.)

I took the information you all have given me and what I gathered from my
dad who was only 5 at the time. He said the only thing he remembered was
a huge statue of Budda. I found a website for a gentleman named HARUO
ISHISAKA who was born in 1929 in Kobe. The website is:

No, it's not. Googling for his name and Kobe reveals that he writes
his name with a different "O".
