The radial distance of the COS could be published on the internet along with
the coordinates of the center. The radius could also be indicated from some
landmark at the center of the COS area. An example would be have the
published waypoint be that of a tree or radio tower, it would then be obvious
to the stash hunter that they would use the height of the object to find the
radius. To find the height of the object the hunter may have to resort to
triangulation, guessing, or climbing while reading the altitude from the gps.
A good location for a COS would be the Space Needle in Seattle, Wa. Here the
stash hunter would need to learn the height of the structure, then attempt to
navigate around a circular path through the city streets of Seattle looking
for what may be a very small stash.
Good Luck!
Now Visit: www.triax.com/yngwie/gps.html for more information on stash
hunting.
