I ordered a Garmin 2610 in late August. To date I have still not
recieved the unit. The last communication I received from DFD was late
September indicating the unit would be shipped "later that week".
Since then I have left many many phone messages (when their voice
system actually answers) and many many emails. I have had no responsd
at all to any of my inquires. (I put the order in contest last week).

Don't waste your time or money.

Thank you very much for the warning, and sorry to hear of your order
not getting to you.

Here is the link to the place I got my Garmin V from. I got it very fast
and the price was very good as well. http://gpsnow.com
I had no complaints and would buy again from this company (no I'm not
connected in any way).

FYI... today I reorderd from GPSNOW.Com I first called to make sure
they had them instock (and to make sure someone actually answerd the
phone). Their price was very competative, and it was shipped out the
same day (today).

I'll let you know if there are any problems.

Do your research. Many online vendors offer excellent prices and service.
However there are a few "bad apples" to spoil it for the rest. If a certain
vendor interests you, there maybe info regarding their performance. Look for
it.

I have bought many items from the internet for many years. Computer gear,
books, clothes and my SporTrak Pro. Mostly my experience has been positive
and without problems. I have never been "ripped off", though a couple of
times it took some effort to get a refund.

Use a credit card so you can have some leverage if the item you ordered
doesn't arrive or is defective.
