Dear Colleagues,
This announcement is a forwarded message for a Workshop. If you are
not personally interested in the technical content yourselves, we
would appreciate if you could forward this announcement in your
environment you are working in to make this event as successful as
possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

Workshop on
"Computer Graphics Technology for the Exploration of the Sea"
CES '95
Rostock, May 4-5, 1995
Workshop Programme
Location and Organization:
--------------------------
The workshop will be held at the:
Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics
Joachim-Jungius-Straße 9, D-18059 Rostock, Germany
as an event of IFIP WG 5.10 and in cooperation with the German
Computer Society (GI), Interest Groups on Imaging and Visualization
(GI 4.1.2) and Informatics for Environmental Protection (GI 4.6).

B. Urban (D, Co-Chair)
Aims and Scope:
---------------
The workshop is intended to promote the exchange of research results
and practical experience in the use of computer graphics technology
for the exploration of the sea. The main focus of the workshop is the
interdisciplinary work between computer science and marine ecology
that will give support for the analysis and interpretation of
different kinds of marine data.
Workshop Format:
----------------
Participation are limited to about 60 people to encourage
discussion. The time slice for presentation of a paper will be about
30 minutes. The format of the workshop will include numerous exchange
opportunities, and problem sessions may be formed for further
discussion. A publication of the best papers by invitation is under
discussion.
In order not to reject several interesting contributions we decided to
make a poster exhibition.
We offer additional time for separate demonstrations. These
demonstrations take place in our institute near the workshop site.
Fees:
-----
Attendance fee will be charged and will cover the participations
edition of the proceedings, refreshment during the coffee breaks and
the social event on Thursday evening. The fee is 180,- DM for GI
