WEEKLY TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY #91: APRIL 25 - MAY 2, 1993

North Atlantic Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Eastern North Pacific Basin (E of 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Central North Pacific Basin (180 Deg. W to 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Western North Pacific Basin (W of 180 Deg. W):

Tropical Depression 4W: At the start of the summary period, Tropical
Depression 4W was moving west-northwest with 30 kt winds. The system turned
west on 26 April and dissipated near 7N 128E the next day. While this system
passed through the Caroline Islands, there are no reports of damage, casual-
ties, or significant weather at this time.

North Indian Ocean Basin: No tropical cyclones.

South Indian Ocean Basin (W of 135 Deg. E):

Tropical Cyclone 26S: Tropical Cyclone 26S formed near 7N72E on 2 May. At
the end of the summary period, it was drifting west with 45 kt winds. This
system affecyed Diego Garcia Island, which reported a minimum pressure of
1006 mb at 1200 UTC 2 May and a peak wind gust of 41 kt at 1340 UTC. There is
also a ship report of 42 sustained kt winds (time and location unknown). There
are no reports of damage or casualties at this time.

South Pacific Ocean Basin (E of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.
